The Los Angeles Chargers lost their seventh straight game on Sunday, falling 24-9 to the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood. The defeat extends a losing streak that began at the end of last season, bringing the total to ten consecutive losses across two campaigns. The team finished 0-7 on the season and remains the only winless squad in the National Football League.

Quarterback Justin Herbert completed 24 of 32 passes for 257 yards. He threw two interceptions, bringing his season total to nine and 10, the highest mark in the league. The offense failed to score a touchdown for the second straight game. This extends a streak of nine consecutive quarters without a scoring drive. The last touchdown came from a 42-yard run by Kimani Vidal on Oct. 11 against the Denver Broncos.

Cameron Dicker kicked three field goals, accounting for all of the Chargers' offensive points. The team was held scoreless in the second half. In the fourth quarter alone, the Chargers have been outscored by a margin of 50 points this season. Harbaugh noted that the Rams scored in the final two minutes before halftime and on the opening possession of the second half.

Coach Jim Harbaugh said the team could not finish drives with touchdowns and lost control during the middle eight minutes of the game. He confirmed that offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel will continue to call plays. McDaniel was not available for postgame comments and is scheduled to meet with reporters on Thursday. Harbaugh described the team as highly motivated and dedicated to correcting their issues through film review.

Herbert acknowledged the difficulty of the situation, stating that he felt for the defense and the team. Outside linebacker Khalil Mack, a 13-year veteran with nine Pro Bowl selections, defended Herbert. Mack said he has Herbert's back despite the ups and downs. He also dismissed questions about a potential trade before the Nov. 10 deadline, saying he must stay where his feet are.

The Chargers play at home against the Houston Texans next Sunday. The team then travels to Baltimore to face the Ravens on Nov. 16. They return to SoFi Stadium to host the New York Jets on Nov. 22. The team had a bye week to rest and regroup but could not secure a win upon their return.
