Lionsgate U.K. placed its horror-comedy 'Ghosts: The Possession of Button House' at the top of the U.K. and Ireland box office for the weekend. The film collected £2.4 million, which is equivalent to $3.2 million, across its opening three days. This debut placed the production ahead of major studio releases from Warner Bros. and Amazon MGM Studios.
Warner Bros.‘ DC horror thriller 'Clayface' opened in second position with $2.6 million. Amazon MGM Studios‘ comedy feature 'Ali G: Who Iz I?' claimed third place, generating $1.7 million in its debut session. Black Bear’s animated fantasy 'Wildwood,' directed by Travis Knight, secured the fourth spot with an opening haul of $1.36 million.

The limited platform bow for the documentary kicks off a staggered rollout that will expand to additional cinemas ahead of Park Circus’ re-release of Sofia Coppola’s 2006 feature 'Marie Antoinette' on Nov. 13. Mid-week event programming begins Tuesday with Trafalgar Releasing’s broadcast of the Royal Ballet’s 'Manon.'
On Wednesday, music documentary 'Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning,' directed by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, arrives in over 100 locations. Wide commercial rollouts arrive on Friday across more than 300 locations. These include Disney’s 'Everest: The Other Side,' A24’s 'Primetime,' and Black Bear’s 'Wicker.' The weekend concludes Saturday with a live viewing of the BTS World Tour 'Arirang' in Sao Paulo.
