Sara Landry has transformed from a Texas food delivery driver into one of the most sought-after figures in electronic music. On October 16, 2026, she released her second album, Divine Intervention, on her own label, HEKATE.

The release coincided with a sold-out show at Ace Mission Studios in Los Angeles. Landry, who has sold close to 100,000 tickets for headline shows this year, appeared on stage after her set to dance to an edit of "Sweet Nothing" by Calvin Harris and Florence Welch. She credited the moment to the specific energy of the crowd.

Her commercial trajectory has accelerated sharply since 2023. A Boiler Room set from that year has passed 11 million views. In 2024, she became the first hard techno artist to play Tomorrowland's main stage. Last October, she headlined the Sphere in Las Vegas, the first woman to do so. Her 2026 schedule includes more than 50 festival appearances and a first-time headline at Red Rocks, which took place six days before the Ace Mission event.

Landry retains strict control over her output. She mixed the 14-track album herself and tested every song in live DJ sets before release. She does not announce unreleased material. Instead, she integrates new tracks into her live sets as exclusive identifiers, allowing the audience to react without knowing the source. This method ensures that the tracks have proven crowd appeal before they reach the public.

The production process spanned roughly a year and multiple continents. Ideas originated during Amsterdam Dance Event 2025, where she collaborated with artists on her label. She wrote "Energy" in a single session with Australian producer Ali James in Melbourne. The title track features a producer she discovered through an Instagram message and signed during a studio dinner in Amsterdam. She estimates she performs 90% of the vocals, recording them via phone voice memos before processing them through vocoders.

Landry operates as a fully independent entity. She owns her masters and makes creative decisions without label interference. This model contrasts with the industry standard of rented studios and rotating writers. She describes her workflow as piecemeal, with six or seven tracks in progress at once. She prioritizes tracks that feel immediate, allowing the album's structure to emerge organically rather than following a rigid sequence.

The album blends hard bounce, psy-techno, and psytrance. Landry abandoned early schranz experiments when she could not find a connection to the style. She cites her personal faith as a central theme, describing her practice as pagan and her relationship with the divine as strong. She views sound waves as a physical force that moves through the body, creating a spiritual experience similar to sacred music in religious traditions.

Landry continues to integrate her Latin heritage into her work. Her grandmother was born in Mexico City, and Landry speaks Spanish at home. She has incorporated baile funk drums into new material and maintains a collection of Latin techno tracks. She plans to play Ultra Mexico in a few weeks, following a solo headline show in Mexico City earlier this year. Her next release will continue this independent trajectory, with the production process already underway.
